A lot goes into keeping up with your brand’s social media presence. And while content creation is usually top-of-mind for your business, it’s also important to occasionally run through each of your accounts to make sure you are making the most of the features on every platform. Whether you are starting from scratch, rebranding, or just getting all of your social media ducks in a row, creating your own digital analysis checklist can help streamline the entire process.

Certain edits should be made routinely throughout the year to give your digital presence an updated look, so keeping a record of when you created accounts and made major edits to accounts can be helpful too. If your social media accounts don’t look like they’ve been touched in months (and sometimes just weeks), potential customers are far less likely to stick around, follow and engage. We also encourage having reminders written down in your planner or scheduled in your calendar to run through each of your social media platforms routinely to make sure everything has been updated with your business’ most recent information.

Each business has different needs for their social media platforms but here is an idea of how to get started on creating your own digital analysis checklist for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram:

Facebook

  • Profile image should be your logo and should have a caption
  • Cover photo should be updated throughout the year and should have a caption
  • Make sure you’ve filled out the about description, business hours, address, URL, and have any services listed is applicable
  • Make use of the call to action button
  • Edit Our Story

Twitter

  • Profile image should be your logo
  • Cover photo and theme color should be set to match your branding
  • The bio and URL should be current
  • Your username should make sense for your brand

Instagram

  • Profile image should be your logo
  • The bio and URL should be current
  • Your username should make sense for your brand
  • Story Highlight covers should be created and branded

These are just three of the social media platforms that could be right for your brand. As part of our Set Up and Branding package here at TargetMarket, we also claim or update and brand Pinterest, LinkedIn, Youtube, all review sites and email newsletter templates. There are no shortcuts when it comes to properly setting up your digital presence, so if doing it yourself sounds like something you want to tackle, we highly recommend creating a digital analysis checklist to help streamline the process. If all of this sounds daunting, we are here to help. Give us a call at (888) 632-4499 or fill out our contact form here to schedule your free consultation.
