Thanksgiving wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without giving a little thanks! We at The Modern Connection have so much to be thankful for and in celebration of the holidays, here are some things our team is especially thankful for this year:

Ashley T. Caldwell, Founder & CEO

I’m super grateful for my wonderful family who keep me supported, grounded and truly help me remember what’s most important in life. My friends who bring so much perspective and insight into everyday life through their unique viewpoints (and keep me laughing). My wonderful TMC family and team who put their best foot forward each day, give of their time and talents and amaze me with their innovation and fresh ideas. And for our clients who trust in us to represent them online and give their business a unique voice and presence.

Jenn Steere, Director of Operations

First, I’m so thankful for my wonderful and supportive family and friends. I’m very lucky to have an amazing husband and an awesome family. I’m also thankful to have a fast-paced job in a beautiful city such as Charleston. I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley, which is beautiful itself but I always wanted to live at the beach – so I’m thankful that dream came true and I can now decorate my Christmas tree with starfish – which is a thing when you live near the coast. I’m also thankful for my work family – they are all so talented, smart, caring, and just such a great group of people. I really couldn’t ask for a better team and I”m so so thankful to be a part of it. No two days are the same here and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m also thankful for the chance to travel – we’ve gone on some fun adventures this past year and looking forward to where 2019 takes us! Last but certainly not least, I’m thankful for my fur babies. My husband and I were blessed to be chosen as parents to a perfect Boston Terrier pup this year and we are so in love with her. She’s become the TMC office dog and I’m so thankful for a work environment that allows me the flexibility to bring my dog to work. She’s become a favorite with the team and with our clients that come to visit.

Camille Vlahos, Sr. Social Media Manager & Team Lead

This has been a big year of transition. I have so much to be thankful for, I count my blessings every day. When my husband was offered a partnership at a wealth management firm (thankful reason #1) in Aiken, SC, we packed things up and left our beloved Charleston. I have been so incredibly blessed to stay on working remotely with the best team I could ask for at The Modern Connection (thankful reason #2). We were able to save and purchase our first home this fall (thankful reason #3)! And the icing on the cake is that we were able to add a new little puppy to our family in October (thankful reason #4)! So many reasons to be thankful!

Chloe West, Digital Marketing Manager

First and foremost, I am thankful for my beautiful, growing-way-too-fast five-year-old! He is the funniest, smartest, sweetest little boy, and I’m so thankful to have him in my life every day. I am also thankful for my amazing job, where I get to do what I love to do each day, and my amazing friends and family, who are always kind and supportive.

Kylie Parr, Social Media Manager & Team Trainer

As the holidays approach, it reminds to reflect on the things in life that I am thankful and grateful for. This year I have felt truly blessed to go to a job I love every day, to be surrounded by so many true friendships, to have a supportive and loving family, and last but not least coming home to a wagging tail and the unconditional love of my pup, Chloe.

Hillary Conheady, Jr. Social Media Manager

This has been an exciting year! I am thankful for starting my new career at The Modern Connection and meeting these inspiring women. I’m also thankful for my new nephew who was brought into the world earlier this year! This was my first full year in Charleston and I’ve loved being so close to my family. Finally, I’m thankful for a (so far) undefeated Alabama football season. Roll Tide!

Your turn! What are you thankful for? Have a very happy Thanksgiving!
