COVID-19 has taken the world by storm in just a few short weeks. The rate at which this virus has progressed has left businesses scrambling on what to do next. Hours of operation, services offered, and event calendars change by the day, creating a lot of confusion and uncertainty.

At TargetMarket, we are lucky to work in a digital sphere that allows us to effectively transition from working in an office setting to working at home. We see this ability as our responsibility to social distance for the benefit of our community. As we look at the small businesses around us, we know not to take this ability for granted.

We also know that getting the message out on social media has never been more pertinent. We use these platforms to communicate to our audience on a day-to-day basis, but when face to face communication is limited, the digital space becomes even more important. We encourage you to keep the conversation going, because now more than ever your audience is using these platforms to seek information, to achieve a sense of normalcy, or maybe a little combination of both.

Lean into the digital space as a way to connect your community and keep your customers up-to-date on any business changes that may be occuring. So many people are aware of the difficulties small businesses are currently facing, and we want to help. Whether it’s offering online gift certificates, take out options, curbside pick up, or transitioning to online sales/specials, let the public know the steps you are taking.

As you navigate the current situation, we advise you to keep up the communication as much as possible. Use social media and e-blasts to convey any changes to your business, or any updates you see applicable for the future. We are all uncertain, but our best option is to keep up the communication with one another, even if it can’t be in person.

Know that we are here for you, your team and your business.

Stay safe and take care,

The TargetMarket Team
